RNA – In an interview with reporters after a demonstration by seminary students in support of Bahraini revolutionary leader, Ayatollah Isa Qasim, at Qom’s renowned Feyziyeh Seminary, Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami referred to the crimes of the Al Khalifah regime, saying the world powers are preparing a new plan to confront the Islamic Revolution in the region and in order to accomplish this work, they have entrusted Saudi Arabia to lead the mission.
The member of the board of directors of the Assembly of Experts said that the Al Saud have clearly expressed their relationship with Israel and today, they seek to spread their influence with their petrodollars wherever they can in the world, including most recently in Africa.
Ayatollah Khatami said that Saudi Arabia’s interference is also seen in Bahrain, Yemen and other regional countries.
“All Saudi Arabia’s activities are part of the same plot to confront the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Awakening and in this regard, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] has addressed and reproached the Saudis,” he added.
He stressed that Bahrain is important to the imperialist powers because it is base of the United Kingdom in the region and is in Saudi Arabia’s backyard but the hero of this story is Ayatollah Isa Qasim who seeks to assume the leadership of the Bahraini Revolution and so far, has not engaged in violence and has not even broken a single piece of glass.
In conclusion, His Eminence said, “We know our duties and we have accomplished our duties in this regard. We have come to the battlefield and we defend the oppressed and one of the manifestations of this is our participation in this protest.”
