RNA – On September 6, students of the Islamic Seminary of Qom and scholars gathered at Qom’s renowned Feyziyeh Seminary to demonstrate in support of Shaykh Isa Qasim, the leader of Bahrain’s Shi’a majority.

According to the reports, at the beginning of the event, Shaykh Abdullah al-Daqqaq, Shaykh Isa Qasim’s representative in Iran, spoke about the current conditions of Shaykh Qasim in Bahrain and the country’s Islamic movement and urged the people and Shi’a organizations to support this great movement.

Later, Hujjat al-Islam Hasan Akhtari, the Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, referred to the crimes being carried out by Al Saud and Al Khalifah in Bahrain calling the Bahraini people “firm followers of Ahlul-Bayt and revivers of the teachings of Imam al-Husayn who defend their beliefs in the face of the enemies.”

It is worth mentioning that during the demonstration that Iranian clerics and seminarians chanted slogans condemning Saudi crimes as well as the Al Khalifah regime’s atrocities in Bahrain and voiced their support for Bahraini Shi’as.

The Shi’a clerics also held posters and placards demanding the international community to support the Islamic movement in Bahrain and asked them to help Bahraini citizens acheive their legitimate rights.
