Rasa – Scholars, teachers and students of the Islamic Seminary of Qom have been invited to attend a protest in support of Shaykh Isa Qasim, the leader of Bahrain’s oppressed Shi’a majority religious leader, at Qom’s Feyziyeh Seminary.

RNA – A group of scholars and seminarians have been invited to participate in a protest at Qom’s renowned Feyziyeh Seminary to support the spiritual leader of Bahrain’s oppressed Shi’a majority and the head of the al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Ayatollah Isa Qasim, and the oppressed people of Bahrain on Tuesday, September 6th.

 

This gathering is at the invitation of Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, the Supreme Council of Seminaries and the management of the Islamic Seminaries of Qom.

 

Their statement is as follows:

 

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

 

The painful events, pressure and repression against the conscious and steadfast people of Bahrain in the light of the silence and suffocation by the international human rights organizations and the continuing wave of arrests and violations against the sanctity of religious leaders, particularly Ayatollah Shaykh Isa Qasim, represents the pinnacle of oppression for the people of this country, who call for dignity and freedom.

 

The Islamic Seminaries condemns the suppression of the revolutionary people of Bahrain, the violation of the sanctity of this combatant Bahraini cleric and calls on the enlightened and revolutionary seminarians and clergymen to attend the protest at Feyziyeh Seminary which has been organized by the teachers, students and clergymen of the Islamic Seminary to announce their opposition to the tyranny of the Al Khalifah [regime] and express their support for the revolutionaries of Bahrain.
