RNA – Ayatollah Reza Ostadi, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of the Seminaries, spoke to the crowd gathered at Qom’s Feyziyeh Seminary to mark the beginning of the new academic year in the Islamic Seminary of Qom.

 

During his speech, the senior cleric elaborated on some guidelines for the seminary teachers as well as students.

 

He emphasized on the importance of performing prayers at the first possible time and added, “The clerics must strongly care about performing their morning prayers at the beginning of their time, this is not something of minor significance for when the students listen to this advice they will see great progress in life.”

 

“In addition to learning knowledge, performing prayers at the first possible time also plays a key role to influence the society in a positive way,” Ayatollah Ostadi added.

 

The senior Shi’a added, “Adhering to the teachings of the Ahlul-Bayt serves as another aspect of a seminarians’ spiritual growth, since resorting to the Ahlul-Bayt can greatly benefit the clerics.”

 

“Seminary teachers must study the seminary lessons in a thorough way and then present the material to the students in order for them to gain a comprehensive knowledge over the subjects,” Ayatollah Ostadi said.

 

“After all these years of serving the Islamic seminaries, I can now say to you that the actions intended for the purpose of God’s obedience are the ones which will last forever,” Ayatollah Ostadi concluded.
