RNA – Speaking at a ceremony marking the beginning of the new academic year in the Islamic Seminary of Qom at Qom’s renowned Feyziyeh Seminary, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi said that the glorious Islamic Revolution arose from the Islamic Seminaries and added that the survival of the Revolution depended on the services of the seminaries and for this reason, government officials must give special attention to the seminaries.
“The Islamic Seminaries are the source and guarantor of Iran’s Islamic Revolution and the importance of the seminary should not be hidden. The late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader are sons of the seminary,” he said.
In other remarks, the revered source of emulation said that the media of the current era is rotten and corrupt and attacks the morality and beliefs of Muslims and thus, they must be vigilant.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi explained that Takfiris are the greatest threat to the Islamic world and we must prove that Saudi Arabia created Daesh and the Takfiri ideology. “In their religious schools, they teach the Takfiri ideology which contains violence. The grand muftis and foreign media have also invited Muslims toward violence,” he added.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi added that one of the tasks of the Seminaries is to contribute to the unity of Muslims and said that in the current era, Muslims are fighting with each other and with every new war, the enemies become happier because they want to destroy Yemen, Syria and other Islamic countries.
“We must avoid the factors which create dissension and Muslim unity can extinguish the fire of dissension in the Islamic world,” he stressed.
