RNA – Speaking at a ceremony honouring university graduates in the southern Lebanese town of Ebba, Hujjat al-Islam Nabil Qawouq, the vice-president of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, said that with the sacrifices of the Lebanese military and the Islamic Resistance, we have fought against Takfiri terrorists and have been successful and we will cut off the hand that tries to ignite sedition in Lebanon, just as they have in Iraq, Yemen and Syria.
The Lebanese cleric pointed out that with its power and authority, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance was spared from the threats of the Takfiri terrorists and added that the greatest honour and dignity for Lebanon is its resistance against the Zionists entity. “Israel fears the power of the Resistance more than anything else and created Daesh and the al-Nusrah Front to target the Resistance because they have been able to defeat it,” he said.
He noted the defeats of the Takfiri terrorists in Iraq and Syria, saying that the Takfiri terrorists wanted to overthrow the Syrian government from Darayya, one of the southwestern suburbs of Damascus, but the liberation of this town was a strategic achievement for the Resistance and the Syrian army and opened new horizons in regard to political and battlefield equations and developments which are in favour of the Resistance Axis.
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq referred to Saudi Arabia’s anger over the defeat of their Takfiri project in Syria and said that the Saudis supported the Takfiri terrorists both materially and with weapons in a bet to overthrow the government of President Bashar al-Asad, but the liberation of Darayya demonstrated that their attempts to overthrow of the Syrian government have failed and this country will continue its support of Takfiri terrorist groups.
The senior Hezbollah official also noted the ongoing crises in Lebanon and the enemies’ attempts to undermine the country and said the ongoing presidential crisis is due to Saudi Arabia’s opposition to the election of Michel Aoun, the head of the Free Patriotic Movement.
“Saudi Arabia’s veto against Aoun, has led Lebanon into a dark tunnel and on this basis, we can say that the House of Saud is the cause of all these crises,” Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq emphasized.
