RNA – The office of Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi released a statement regarding their Hajj delegation this year:
The office of Grand Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi hereby announces that His Eminence has sent no one to establish his delegation for this years Hajj pilgrimage from Iraq and any such news is completely false.
Grand Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi will have not have any representatives, whether from Iraq or Iran, to establish his delegation during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.

Some websites have recently claimed that Grand Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi will have some representatives sent from Iraq to establish his delegation for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. It has also been claimed that this has been done in order for the followers of His Eminence to have access to His Eminence’s representatives so as to ask their religious questions and solve their problems.
However, the office of Grand Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi hereby announces that such news is completely false and Grand Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi will have no representatives sent to establish his delegation for this years’ Hajj, whether from Iran or Iraq.
