RNA – "The United States does not dare to attack Iran," Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad-Hasan Aboutorabi-Fard said referring to the political situation in the region.
The former first deputy speaker of the Parliament of Iran noted the necessity of the power of Islamic society and explained that Iran needs a strong political system so that the enemies do not think about encroaching on the country and looting its property. “In the past, our rulers have been designated by the US and the UK and even dictate the size of our power,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Aboutorabi-Fard argued that the US was the main cause of the recent coup d’état in Turkey and said that despite the fact that most of the time, Turkey’s behaviour and opinions in regard to different positions are in line with the views of the imperialist powers, they are still not immune from the tricks of the Americans.
“Recently it was seen how the Americans planned to overthrow the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. This was because they wanted a government which was fully in compliance with their demands,” he said.
He referred to the continuing activities by the enemies against the countries of the Islamic world and added that the enemies seek to achieve their evil goals in Iraq, Syria and Yemen. “For this same reason, the Holy Quran addresses the Islamic ummah, saying, ‘if you want to be safe from the enemies’ plots, you must achieve power and protect it.’”
The senior Iranian politician said that one of the most important tools in the modern world is military power and if Iran did not have this power, the country would be swallowed up by the enemies.
His Eminence noted, “Why do you think Saddam Husayn invaded Iran? Because he felt that Iran was weak and why the imperialist powers claim they want to launch a military attack on Iran but have not dared not do so because Iran is strong today.”
He added that this military strength is due to the management of Iran's Supreme Leader.
Hujjat al-Islam Aboutorabi-Fard said that efforts to protect this country must not stop and we must develop long-range missiles and politicians must not hesitate for a moment because the US recognizes only the language of power and we must speak to them from a position of power.
