RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Ka’bi, the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Resistance group, Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba (“The Movement of the Party of God’s Nobles”) met with Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, the head of the Assembly of Experts at his office in Tehran on Sunday.
During the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam al-Ka’bi said that in recent weeks, Takfiri terrorists have been besieged within the strategic Syrian city of Aleppo and after this incident, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey held a joint meeting to discuss how to break this siege.
The Iraqi cleric added that these countries have concluded that by occupying the district of al-Ramusah, south of Aleppo, they can break the siege of Aleppo, but again we have restored the seige around this district and now the terrorists in the city of Aleppo are completely surrounded and will not be able to enter or exit the city, because we have al-Ramusah under our fire.
He spoke of the specific Takfiri terrorist groups operating inside Syria, saying the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (“Front for the Conquest of the Levant”), formerly known as the al-Nusrah Front, is completely supported by Qatar and Saudi Arabia supports Ahrar al-Sham (“Free People of the Levant”).
“We have obtained this information from the interrogation of terrorist prisoners and based on the information, we are fighting against terrorists from 140 countries in Syria under the leadership of [the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution] Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei,” he said.
The prominent leader of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq said that Turkey’s support for active terrorist groups in Syria is obvious and added that most terrorist groups are officially headquartered in Turkey and their activities are not necessarily hidden but rather terrorist groups are even based in Ankara and Turkey is still the best route for terrorists to enter into Syria.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Ka’bi noted the plight of the Shi’as in Syria and noted that the cities of al-Fu’ah and Kafriya, two towns in Idlib Governorate, were home to more than 30,000 Shi’as prior to the turmoil in Syria, but since 2011, thousands of Shi’as have emigrated from these two towns and now there are only 10,000 to 15,000 people left, many of whom are sadat (descendants of the Prophet Muhammad) and descended from Sayyid Abul-Makarim ibn Zuhrah, a famous jurist and theologian who lived in Aleppo in the 11th century.
His Eminence said that the attempted coup d’état in Turkey showed that this country should change its stance regarding Syria and said that during the operation to break the siege in Fu’ah and Kafriya, numerous foreign members of the al-Nusrah Front were captured and during their interrogation, they stated the Saudi officials told them that if the siege on Fu’ah and Kafriya is broken, Iran would be victorious.
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam al-Ka’bi told Ayatollah Jannati, “We are proud to continue on the way of Imam Khomeini.”
