RNA – In a meeting with members of the Lebanese National Movement, Hujjat al-Islam Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyid, the chairman of Hezbollah’s political council said, “one of the wars in the region, is the war by some Arab governments against Palestine wherein these governments seek the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime.”

The Lebanese Shi’a cleric added that while these governments seek to normalize relations with the Zionist regime, this regime has expanded its policy of killing Palestinians and destroying their sanctities.”

He said that the expansion of ties between Israel and Arab countries has reached the point that the Zionist media has noted the news that the Arab League does not plan to call for a vote on a resolution calling for the monitoring of Israel’s nuclear facilities at this year’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conference.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Sayyid said the failure of the American-Zionist project in Syria has changed some of the stakes of the balance of power in Lebanon and has led the enemies to begin making concessions their previous calls for regime change in Syria and has also led to the disintegration of the international alliance against this country.

He noted the emergence of a new balance of power in the region with Russia’s presence in Syria and the strong cooperation and coordination between Russia and Iran, saying, “The Russian-Iranian alliance will create a new equation in the region.”

The chairman of Hezbollah’s political council stated that one of the manifestations of the Russian-Iranian alliance is the Russian use of a strategic airbase in the Iranian city of Hamadan to attack the armed terrorist groups in Syria and added that “this is the latest shock in the West.”

His Eminence explained that the ongoing war in Syria is more dangerous than the Israeli war in regard to both their objectives and means, because some who were neutral during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War are at the heart of the war to overthrow the Syrian government and destroy the Islamic Resistance.

“Thank God we have been able to thwart the international and regional ambitions in the war on Syria in a complex and very difficult environment,” he said.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Sayyid said that the world has discovered the danger posed by Takfiri terrorist groups, even those who created, supported and financed these groups.

He stressed that President Bashar al-Asad’s record of steadfastness, courage and firm faith led to their victory which allowed Syria to benefit from the support of its allies and friends. “Also, the cohesion of the Syrian government and the continuous work of its institutions had a crucial role in preserving the unity of its institutions and the involvements of its people,” he added.
