Ayatollah Khatami:

RNA – Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami continued his series of lectures on strengthening the foundations of religious belief and responding to doubts in Shahrekord, saying “The enemies of Iran’s Islamic Revolution have targeted the country’s Islamic system in two areas, externally and internally.”

Tehran’s temporary Friday prayer leader pointed out that the enemies seek to break off Iran’s relationship with the Muslim world and said that the foreign enemies of Iran’s Islamic Revolution and of Islam in general are attempting to influence Iran in whatever way possible, either through a soft war or through a hard war.

Ayatollah Khatami emphasized that the ongoing war in Syria is not only a war against the Takfiris and said that the Takfiri terrorist groups fighting the government of President Bashar al-Asad are the illegitimate children of the West and explained that Iran has a spiritual presence in Syria.

“Through launching this lengthy war in Syria by the imperial powers of the world, they seek to break Iran’s power,” he said.

He pointed out that Iran has influence in Lebanon and is fully connected with Hezbollah in Lebanon and added that Hezbollah and Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah consider the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, as their leader and stressed that by adhering to him, they have never bowed in front of the usurping enemy.

The member of the Supreme Council of Islamic Seminaries said that the enemies also have influence within Iran and added that influence in the decision-making centres is another of their weapons within the country.

“Influence means to place deviant, Western and incorrect thinking in place where revolutionary thought should be,” the senior Iranian cleric explained.

Ayatollah Khatami emphasized that we must believe that the enemies seek the collapse of Iran’s Islamic Revolution because they have tried every method and have failed.

“Soft war is the backbone of the enemies’ influence,” he said stressing that Iran must deal with the enemies in the fields of culture, politics and economy.
