RNA – A delegation of representatives of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in Iraq met with Grand Ayatollah Mohammad-Ishaq al-Fayyadh, a senior Afghan-Iranian source of emulation, in the city of Najaf.
During the meeting, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Iraq gave a brief report on their cultural activities for Iranian pilgrims in Iraq, such as holding ceremonies to recite the Arafah supplication to heighten the pilgrims’ spiritual experience.
Admiring the Iranians’ efforts, Ayatollah al-Fayyadh asserted, “Iranians are true lovers of Ahlul-Bayt, they do not engage in any extreme or radical behaviour since Shi’a doctrine is based on religious moderation.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Shi’a source of emulation pointed at the importance of holding congregational prayers and added, “It is admirable that Iranians attend congregational prayers. However, the media activists in Iran must make serious effort in order to promote the influence of hijab in their country.”
Stressing the influence of the role of the clerics in promoting religious teachings and principles among the people, he added, “Clerics should be kind to people in order to guide them to encourage their spiritual growth.”
“Iran is the pride of Shi’a world, a true supporter of the Ahlul-Bayt and its people truly adhere to the teachings of the Ahlul-Bayt,” Ayatollah al-Fayyadh concluded.
