RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Mahmoud Rajabi, a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, referred to the recent character attacks by a foreign anti-revolutionary television network against the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, saying: “The role of the founder of the Islamic Republic in creating change on a global level, disrupting the intellectual, social and political foundations of the imperialist powers of the world and establishing the Islamic Republic is unparalleled in the history of Islam.”
The deputy of the Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute added that in the Basij and in the solidarity of Iran’s armed forces, there is an outstanding and distinguished role for Imam Khomeini in regard to combat against the imperialist powers and the hegemonic forces.
“The Imam had an unparalleled role in creating unity in the Muslim ummah. Combined with his unique role, he was a popular and influential personality and a role model for humanity among all nations and followers of various religions of the world,” the cleric said.
Ayatollah Rajabi said that it is natural that this issue is in conflict with the interests of the imperialist powers and added: “If such a role model existed in the Muslim community currently, without a doubt the imperial powers wouldn’t be able to reach their goals.”
He added that for the same reason, there have been attempts to prevent Imam Khomeini from being viewed as a role model and reduce the magnitude of his work and his role. “Therefore, on a continuous basis and at different moments from the time of the victory of the Revolution until the current era, the imperialist powers have attempted to combat the perception of Imam Khomeini as a role mode with all of their efforts,” he said.
His Eminence said that the character assassination of Imam Khomeini is one of the strategic principles of the hegemonic powers, and added: “Throughout the history of Islamic Revolution, this issue has been witnessed and these actions aren’t related to a limited or specific time.”
Ayatollah Rajabi said the enemies observe Iran and attack the country in various forms and implement widespread propaganda and various tricks at any appropriate time in accordance with the international situation and the status of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
