RNA – Speaking to a group of worshippers at the Hadhrat Ibrahim Mosque in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon, Shaykh Suhayb Habli said Hezbollah's victory over Israel during the 33-day-war "was won by the grace of the weapons of the self-sacrificing warriors which demonstrated one of the most beautiful scenes of heroism and resilience by blood.”
The Sunni cleric said that the promise of the secretary-general of Hezbollah, Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah, was also completely true and he was able to call the martyr Samir al-Qantar, a high-profile member of Hezbollah, “the chief of the prisoners” and free his companions from the prisons of the Zionist entity.
Shaykh Habli said Hezbollah’s victory over the Zionist enemy, which came after their expulsion from Lebanon in 2000, proved Sayyid Nasrallah’s statement that “Israel is weaker than a spider’s web” true.
“In this war, the Zionist forces were humiliated under the boots of the forces of the Islamic Resistance, their war ships were sunk, their tanks were destroyed, their settlements were targeted by missiles and the people of these settlements hid in bomb shelters,” he added.
He stressed that this war demonstrated to the Zionists that war against the Islamic Resistance isn’t amusement and all of Sayyid Nasrallah’s promises were fulfilled.
His Eminence said that the war between Hezbollah and Takfiri terrorist groups in Syria is equal to the 33-Day War and added that the Battle of Aleppo will determine the appearance and fate of the region and the blood that the Resistance and the Syrian Arab Army have sacrificed will be accomplished by protecting and defending the unity, territory and people of Syria.
Shaykh Habli explained that victory in Aleppo means defeating the American-Zionist project aimed at the dissolution of Syria and the region and frustrates their ‘New Middle East’ project as well.
“Ten years ago, then-US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, promised this project, however it was defeated by the endurance of the Islamic Resistance and the solidarity of the Syrian Arab Army and the Syrian people who formed a triple axis,” he said.
