RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Najaf, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi said that the ratification of a law banning the political influence of members of the former Iraqi dictatorship was essential and noted that several members of the former Ba’athist dictatorship committed crimes against the Iraqi people and based on this, we must prevent their influence in the new administration.

“There are many questions surrounding this tragic incident such as the inability to extinguish the fire for three hours and the authorities must respond to these,” he said, urging the Iraqi government to compensate the families of the victims.
Despite the deterioration of the health services in the war-torn Arab country, His Eminence also appreciated the good performance of doctors and medical teams and called for more assistance to be given the wounded members of the Popular Mobilization Forces and Iraqi security forces in Najaf’s al-Sadr Hospital.
