RNA – In a meeting with the Ideological-Political Organization of the Law Enforcement Force of Islamic Republic of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli said “The Islamic government is responsible for providing security and safety for all its citizens who are living under the banner of Islam, in the present time this responsibility is given to the police force.”
Referring to the high position of Ahlul-Bayt as role models in the Islamic society, the senior cleric added, “The Holy Infallibles are considered the pride of Islam and our role models in life; if one truly follows their footsteps and guidelines in the pure sense of the word, they can fulfill the purpose of religion and serve the realization of security and safety in society.”
The revered source of emulation added, “During the time of Imam Ali’s administration (caliphate), the Egyptians said Imam Ali is our leader and Malik al-Ashtar is our governor, but despite this saying, their society later collapsed.”
Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli added, “Therefore Muslims must be vigilant that despite having great leadership, their society will eventually decline if its citizens are not conscious or alert in tough situations.”
