RNA – In his weekly Friday sermon in Beirut, Grand Ayatollah Abdul-Amir Qabalan, the deputy of the Supreme Shi’a Council of Lebanon, referred to crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the 2006 33-Day War and rebuked the recent beheading of a Palestinian teenage boy as a strategy for the domination of the law of jungle.
He said: “The wounds of Zionist terrorism during the 33-Day War against Lebanon are still visible while the invasions of the enemies are still underway,” he said while expressing regret that the Zionist ideology is manifested among Takfiri terrorists.
Ayatollah Qabalan denounced the beheading of a 12-year-old Palestinian boy in Syria and noted: “Takfiri criminals follow the Zionist ideology and use terrorism in line with dominating people and that is the reason for the growing number of homicide and crimes in our societies.”
The Lebanese scholar stressed: “The beheading of this Palestinian teenager, Abdullah Isa, was a cowardly act of terror which reminds me of the law of jungle which gives no attention to values and human law.”
The deputy of Supreme Shi’a Council of Lebanon noted that the killing of the teenager is another example of the brutality of Takfiri terrorists, who are called moderate by some countries. If this is moderation, then what should be expected from the ISIL terrorist group and its allies?”
The cleric called world people to engage in a serious counter-terrorism campaign and said: “Terrorism is the enemy of humanity and we should struggle to stem the plague of terrorism according to our religious, moral and human duties.”
Ayatollah Qabalan warned that the threats of the terrorism which are deeply rooted in extremist ideology which permits bloodshed against civilians and the invasion of their sanctities should be taken seriously.
