RNA – Speaking during his class on Quranic exegesis at Qom’s Ayatollah Golpaygani Seminary, Ayatollah Mahdi Hadavi-Tehrani stated that emigration to non-Islamic countries for any purpose other than the propagation of Islam is incorrect.
The member of the Supreme Council of the Ahlul-Bayt World Assembly referred to verse 55 of the Quranic chapter “al-Hajj,” wherein God states: “Those who are faithless persist in their doubt about it, until either the Hour overtakes them suddenly, or they are overtaken by the punishment of an inauspicious day.” [22:55]
In regard to this verse, he explained some people argue about and doubt the existence of God Almighty without any legitimate reason but persue any evil thing and follow it. These people will not have peace in their life and are always in doubt and ambiguity.
Ayatollah Hadavi-Tehrani said: “The Day of Judgement is the scene of the revelation of the truth and today, people with illusions of ownership and worldly matters are fighting over figurative issues. People need to understand that God has true authority and ownership and everything else in the world is perishable.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said God has prepared a punishment for those who disbelieve and deny God's revelations besides an inner and physical torment. Those who claim power and wealth will be humiliated in front of others.
His Eminence continued, saying that today those who migrate to non-Muslim countries are of two types – some of them emigrate to promote and propagate Islam. This is recommended in Islam. “Some people both emigrate to non-Muslim countries for business opportunities and specific reasons. This only strengthens the disbelievers and is not permissible from an Islamic perspective,” he said.
He added that the prophets and saints of God are protected from the evil of Satan by His divine permission and that God is greater than all things and is infinite and He guides man.
