RNA – In interviews with Rasa News Agency on the sidelines of Friday’s al-Quds Day rally in the holy city of Qom, several sources of emulation offered their appreciation for the people’s enthusiastic participation in the rallies, despite the searing heat.
Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi praised the mass turnout in the International al-Quds Day rallies and stressed that the people have demonstrated that they are loyal to the Islamic revolution and its values and added that we must thank the people for this position.
Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani also praised the people for their enthusiastic presence and participation in the al-Quds Day rallies and called on all Muslims to preserve Islamic unity and added that if someone destroys the unity of the Muslim world, they have betrayed all Muslims.
He also condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime said: “God-willing, a third Intifada will destroy Israel.”
Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, the president of the Assembly of Experts, said that the message of these fasting people on al-Quds Day to the United States and Israel is that they will obey the Islamic rulings in regard to morality and brotherhood and will defend the Palestinian cause.
He added that as long as there is an Islamic Revolution and government, the slogans of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” will remain.
Ayatollah Jannati said there is no difference between the al-Quds Day rallies and the 22 Bahman (11 February) rallies for the people. “Through unity around the axis of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent), they people stand against the sedition created by the enemies,” he said.
Ayatollah Sayyed Mahmoud Hashemi-Shahroudi, the Vice-President of the Assembly of Experts, stressed that Muslims have betrayed by some Muslim countries in regard to Palestine and their collaboration with the Zionists will not be forgotten.
He added that this year, the al-Quds Day rallies is different from last year because some Muslim countries have established relations with the child-murdering Zionist regime.
Ayatollah Hashemi-Shahroudi said that the people are realizing which countries support Palestine and which countries betray this nation.
Grand Ayatollah Ebrahim Amini said the imperialist countries of the world, led by the United States and the United Kingdom, have created this cancerous tumour [Israel] in the middle of the Islamic world to divert Islam from its true path.
He said that despite all the imperial powers’ support for the Zionist regime and efforts to suppress Islamic movements, the Muslim people have woken up and have advanced against the imperial powers.
“Unfortunately, some Islamic governments have collaborated with Israel, which is contrary to Islamic teachings,” he said.
