RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Hasan Mamdouhi, a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, referred to the “passionate and epic” rallies held worldwide on the International Day of al-Quds and urged the people of the Islamic world to participate, saying their extensive participation sends many important messages to the enemies of Islam and the imperial powers.
He added that al-Quds Day does not occur just in Iran but also throughout the Islamic world, saying: “In fact, on this day, International Zionism is condemned by the Islamic world and Muslims introduce Israel as a cancerous tumour that should be eradicated.”
Ayatollah Mamdouhi explained that Muslims should participate in the al-Quds Day rallies in a united manner and added that the widespread presence of people in the rallies is a warning to the Zionists that the sedition that they have created in the Islamic world will only provide them with temporary peace but at any possible moment, it can be reignited and turn against them.
His Eminence said that an “epic” turnout in rallies gives Muslims throughout the world power and by uniting, Muslims can use this power to fight against the enemies of Islam and the imperial powers of the world.
The Iranian scholar said that the imperialist powers are trying to divert the world’s public opinion on the issue of Palestine, of which they are very afraid. “By creating the Zionist regime, the enemies have made a great mistake which remains to this day,” he said.
Ayatollah Mamdouhi said that one of the enemies’ main goals in establishing Takfiri terrorist groups is to deviate Muslims from the most important priorities of the Islamic world, which includes the issue of Palestine.
“Fortunately, the creation of ISIL awakened Muslims. When people continuously spoke against Islam and wanted to introduce ISIL as true Islam, the Islamic world rose against ISIL and awoke the hearts of the people and ISIL has no religion,” he said.
#QudsDay is an annual event taking place on the fourth Friday of the month of Ramadan. It was the idea of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini. The commemorations spread worldwide in defiance of Israel’s systematic annexation of Palestinian land.
