RNA – Speaking to the worshippers and pilgrims in the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah in Qom, Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Naser Rafiei-Mohammadi said, “It’s been mentioned in 55th verse of the Quranic chapter “al-Nour” [The Light] that a day will come when Muslims will gain enough power to form a religious government and to spread security in the world and they will break free from the arrogant domination.
“In Imam al-Mahdi’s era, people will be faithful and the unbelievers will not be able to cause any damage to Islam,” he said.
“The existence of Imam al-Mahdi is an undeniable truth, since there are many successive hadiths (narrations) supporting it. More than thirty companions of the Prophet Muhammad have mentioned Imam al-Mahdi and there are over thirty different books written on the doctrine of Mahdism (Islamic messianism),” he added.
Reiterating that Imam al-Mahdi is the “Imam of kindliness and affection,” Dr. Rafiei-Mohammadi continued, “Unfortunately some people want to propagate an idea that Imam al-Mahdi is a wrathful and angry personality whereas he will appear to fight the non-believers, unjust and those who stand against him.”
The teacher at Qom’s al-Mustafa International University further said, “When Imam al-Mahdi appears, Christians will accept his call and pledge allegiance to him since Jesus Christ will be accompanying the Imam.”
