RNA – Speaking to Rasa News Agency on the anniversary of the demise of Imam Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini, Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami referred to the criteria and principles of the founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, saying that the glorification and respect of Imam Khomeieni is the glorification and respect of the values of Islam and the values of the Islamic Revolution.
The member of the Assembly of Experts added that “Truly, Imam Khomeini has a great right upon the Islamic world, particularly for Islamic Iran. His rights on the Islamic world is the Islamic Awakening of the current era, which emanated from the Islamic Revolution. This Awakening has been suppressed by the imperial powers.”
He referred to the remarks made by Imam Khomeini about exporting the Islamic Revolution, saying: “The Imam said we will export our revolution to the world but foreigners incorrectly interpret this and say that Iran is sending troops and weapons which is incorrect. The correct interpretation is that we are exporting the message of our Revolution to the world through our thought. Through the blessings of God, our Revolution has been exported.”
Ayatollah Khatami continued, saying that the right of the Imam on the Islamic Republic of Iran is that the three slogans of independence, freedom and Islamic Republic were realized by the leadership of the late Imam. “One’s tongue is incapable of stating the valuable services he offered to society in different areas,” he said.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom pointed to the brilliant leadership of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, saying that the appropriate choice of Ayatollah Khamenei as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution becomes more apparent as time passes.
“Truly, the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution has continued the path of the late Imam Khomeini,” he said.
