RNA – President Hassan Rouhani met with Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi-Golpaygani and said that the government is determined and serious in bolstering the economy, developing the country and solving people’s problems.
In this meeting that took place on Friday in Ayatollah Safi-Golpaygani’s house in Qom, President Rouhani briefed him on the measures taken by the government in resolving economic problems of the country during the hard times of sanctions.
He added: “Above the government’s efforts, reaching good economic and cultural conditions requires public unity, integrity and empathy in the country.”
In regard to the poor conditions of the countries of the region, President Rouhani added: “Today the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a safe and stable country, is making efforts to secure peace and security in the region.”
Referring to the massive turnout in the latest parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections, he expressed hope that the government can make steps in solving the problems of the country, having blessings and support from the sources of emulation and clerics.
During the meeting, Grand Ayatollah Safi-Golpaygani also wished the president and government officials success and said: “People are more hopeful of the future and problems will be solved by your tactfulness.”
“We should actively participate and cooperate in international communities,” Ayatollah Safi-Golpaygani added.
