RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi referred to conditions in the region and the world, saying: “Unfortunately, we continue to see the malice of the enemies of Islam, of which the United States is the greatest. In regard to this malice, vigilance and resistance is required. The US has not only taken a step back but rather they insist on a ruthless position.”
The head of al-Mustafa International University said the theft of $2 billion of the Iranian nation’s reserves was the most heinous act that the US has done to Iran.
He added that the attacks on Iran’s defensive weapons and missile programs are other offenses by the Americans. “We are a nation in an insecure region and although we cannot guarantee our safety through defensive weapons, we have abandoned weapons of mass destruction on religious grounds but we will definitely protect ourselves with defensive weapons.”
Ayatollah Arafi said that recently, the US criticized Iran’s military exercises in the Persian Gulf but the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, delivered a revolutionary and decisive response to their remarks.
“The US must know that these exercises will not be limited to the Persian Gulf. We have a share in all international waters and we have unmatched rights in the Persian Gulf and no one has the right to harass us,” the teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said.
The eminent scholar stressed that the US’ lack of commitment to lift the sanctions that they have imposed on Iran and their sabotage, consistent defense of the Al Saud who have shed blood in various parts of the world, their defense of international terrorism in Syria and the Gaza Strip and their and sedition in Iraq is part of the Americans “black record” and history.
“Iraqi groups know that the differences between them were created by the intelligence services of the US and Israel and they should not be deceived but rather they should heed the commands of the sources of emulation and be vigilant,” he said.
In conclusion, Ayatollah Arafi pointed to the Al Saud’s sabotage of the Hajj issue and said the Iranian nation considers attending this pilgrimage their religious and divine duty and added that if Iran does not participate, the whole world would know that the “false servants of the two holy shrines” deprived the great nation of Iran from attending Hajj and the consequences of this sin will return to them.
