RNA – Speaking at a conference of the Association of the Representatives of Seminarians in Qom, Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi, the head of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stated that the Islamic Seminary of Qom is divided into three sectors – the sources of emulation, the teachers and the seminarians and that the Seminary has a duty to itself and has expectations to itself which do not exist elsewhere.
His Eminence said that with there the emergence of the Islamic Revolution and the destruction of the evil Pahlavi regime and the ascendency of an Islamic government which is based on religion, the Seminary must explain the scope of this rule, in which the Guardian-Jurist is in contact with Imam al-Mahdi and the Ahlul-Bayt.
“This authority must guard the Islamic Seminary,” he stressed.
Ayatollah Yazdi added that the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has stressed said the Qom must remain revolutionary and explained that the definition of revolution is the theory of Islamic rule is that which the late Imam Khomeini taught while in exile in Najaf.
“In continuation of this,” His Eminence, said, “He took responsibility for this rule and took critical steps to implement it and after Imam Khomeini’s death, the Assembly of Experts chose Ayatollah Khamenei and he assumed leadership and through his management, tact and understanding of his time he advanced.”
The eminent scholar emphasized: “In order to preserve the Revolution today, we must be aware of this rule and preserve this authority.”
The member of the Guardian Council said that the enemies seek to destroy Islamic governance and sovereignty, saying: “The enemies say ‘why you want to be independent? Why have an army and a navy?’ In reality, they have problems with Islam and its sovereignty and it is our responsibility to take care of this system of government.”
Ayatollah Yazdi stressed that the seminaries must teach seminarians about the Islamic system of government and the Islamic Revolution in order to preserve it for the future, saying the rule of the Guardian-Jurist is the same as that of the rule of Imam al-Mahdi.
