The United States has cautioned Israel about “unilateral” annexation of the Palestine’s West Bank, warning that it “endangers” US President Donald Trump’s so-called peace plan.

RNA - US ambassador to Israel David Friedman took to Twitter Sunday to call on Tel Aviv to wait for the “completion a mapping process.”

“President Trump’s Vision for Peace is the product of more than three years of close consultations among the President, PM Netanyahu and their respective senior staff,” said the American envoy. “As we have stated, the application of Israeli law to the territory which the Plan provides to be part of  Israel is subject to the completion a mapping process by a joint Israeli-American committee.”

The former bankruptcy lawyer, who is aligned with the Israeli far right, further cautioned that such a move could cost the regime the “American recognition,” which officially came about via Trump’s so-called deal of the century.

“Any unilateral action in advance of the completion of the committee process endangers the Plan & American recognition,” added the Trump-appointed ambassador.

Among other highly condemned terms, the so-called "deal" recognizes Jerusalem al-Quds as “Israel’s undivided capital,” and allows the regime to annex illegally built settlements in the occupied West Bank and the Jordan Valley.

It also amounts to violation of the fundamental rights of the Palestinians by disregarding UN resolutions and international law.
