RNA – Speaking at a ceremony appointing him as the custodian of Mashhad’s Astan Quds Razavi, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Marvi said, “By removing this responsibility from the shoulders of Sayyed Reza Fatemi-Amin [deputy custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi], the opportunity to focus on the economic issues of the Astan Quds Razavi and to make serious developments in this arena is provided to him.”
Referring to the necessity of providing the necessary grounds for entering the youth in the field of management, he said, “According to the emphasis of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei], the grounds for the gaining of experience and the entry of revolutionary, Hezbollahi, believers, capable and efficient youth must be provided in this arena.”
He added that although many experiences during the forty years of the Islamic Revolution have proven that the evil plans of enemies against the Iranian nation will never be fruitful, they must try to turn the enemies’ threats into opportunities.
Hujjat al-Islam Marvi added, “All administrators of the Astan Quds Razavi must choose and nominate two successful alternatives from among the faithful, revolutionary and efficient youth, so as to educate the next generation of administrators in different sectors of the capacities of the youth in order to promote better affairs.”
His Eminence said that the emphasis of the Supreme Leader on youthfulness isn’t merely a slogan put forward for the consolation of the youth but this is point a theological belief derived from the forty years of revolutionary ups and downs.
He stated that today, the battlefield against the enemies is in the economic field and added, “The same bold presence and influence that the valuable martyrs, sincere warriors and motivated youth had during the Sacred Defence, must emerge today in the arena of economic warfare.”
Referring to the slogan of the year [“Boosting Production”] and the highlights of the Supreme Leader’s statement on the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution, Hujjat al-Islam Marvi said, “We must consider ourselves as pioneers in realizing the intentions of the Supreme Leader, especially in regarding to boosting production and not hesitate to spare all efforts in this arena.”
Based on a decree released on April 4th, the Supreme Leader appointed Hujjat al-Islam Marvi to serve as the custodian of the foundation, replacing Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi, the current chief of the judiciary.
Hujjat al-Islam Marvi was formerly in charge of a department at the Supreme Leader’s Office responsible for contacts and communications with religious seminaries.
The Astan Quds Razavi is an influential autonomous foundation based in Mashhad, which manages the shrine of Imam al-Ridha.
