Rasa - Bahrain’s al-Wefaq Islamic Association announced that Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim is in an urgent need of a number of surgeries which can be identified after his eminence undergoes critical medical checks.
RNA - In a statement, al-Wefaq stressed that the house arrest imposed on Sheikh Qassem led to deterioration of his health, blaming the regime’s media outlets for misleading the local and international public opinion, Al Manar reported.
Earlier, Al-Wefaq Society confirmed that Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, was taken to hospital on Monday morning.
A brief statement was issued by Al-Wefaq saying that Ayatollah Qasim was taken to the hospital "by his family" at about 9 am on Monday.
In that initial statement, however, Wefaq did not mention to which hospital Qassim was admitted or any other details.
