RNA – Speaking at the ‘English Shi’ism Conference’ in Tabriz, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad-Ali Aale-Hashem, the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, said, “After ‘American Islam’ was explained many years ago by the late Imam Khomeyni, in recent years, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] has called English Shi’ism a threat.”
In Iran, the term “English Shi’ism” refers to a deviated form of Shi’ism propagated by British intelligence to weaken Islam and sow discord among Muslims.
The Friday prayer leader of Tabriz stated that English Shi’ism had no purpose but to spread dissension among Muslims in the Islamic world and noted, “It is a deviant movement that has been mobilized to spread misinformation with all of its abilities to connect Shi’ism with violence and to make Shi’ah Muslims the targets of other Islamic sects.”
Hujjat al-Islam Aale-Hashem continued, “Both ‘American Sunnism’ and the ‘English Shi’ism’ are both satanic brothers and agents of the arrogant powers. From the distant past, sectarianism and the creation of divisions in religions have been among the instructions of the English intelligence service in Islamic countries. This aim from has been pursued from the 18th century until the present day by special missions from English’s espionage services.”
He emphasized that the main purpose of English Shi’ism is to thwart the unity of the Islamic ummah, said, “English Shi’ism is the same as ‘American Islam.’ It’s a sect that is alien to the true doctrines of Islam and doesn’t pose a danger to the enemies of Islam. This deviant ideology does not allow the danger of the Zionist regime to be recognized for Muslims.”
Referring to the fact that the goals of English Shi’ism are realized only in the light of divisiveness and disagreement between Muslims, he added, “This divisive sect is also seeking to provoke followers of other religions and religions in relation to Shi’ism. In other words, division, takfir [excommunication] and insulting others are the three essential pillars of English Shi’ism.”
The representative of Ayatollah Khamenei in East Azerbaijan province stated that the Muslim world has the victim of the enemies’ conspiracies and has been targeted by deviant sects and Takfiri terrorists and said, “English Shi’ism with its extremism serves the enemies of Islam and the Front of Disbelief. They didn’t demonstrate any movement in the campaign against Daesh, while Shi’ahs and Sunnis were whole-heartedly united against the Takfiri terrorists.”
Hujjat al-Islam Aale-Hashem added, “The sect is trying to falsely display itself as heartbroken for the Ahlul-Bayt but when the shrines of the infallible and purified Ahlul-Bayt were attacked by the Takfiris in Iraq and Syria, they didn’t make even the slightest move in defense of the holy shrines of the Ahlul-Bayt and not even one of the followers of this cult was in the lineup of the defenders of the holy shrines.”
