RNA – Speaking at his advanced jurisprudence course in Qom’s Grand Mosque on Wednesday, senior Shi’ah cleric Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi made some remarks on Iran-United States relations saying, “Some people think that our enemies might cause trouble for our country and undermine Iranian’s unity and integrity. Fortunately, our enemies are taking off their masks and showing true colors. their vicious evil is becoming known to the public.”
 

The revered Shi’ah source of emulation further said, “There used to be times when people believed our disputes with the US administration will be resolved and our disagreements would lead to friendship and opportunities to develop our ties. But as time went on, it became apparent to all that the US government cannot tolerate Iran’s strength and advancements. This has become known to all people today.”

 
Reiterating that American politicians can never be trusted, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi added, “They withdrew from all their agreements and undermined international treaties. Recently, they even pulled out of UNESCO because this international organization voted against Israel.”

 
The lecturer in the Islamic Seminary of Qom asserted, “After all this perfidy and breaking promises, the US government proposes negotiations with North Korea. How do they offer such a thing after all their scandals and humiliation on international arena?”

 
“At this time we, Iranians, must stand united in order to defeat our enemy and help our country prosper in future,” Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi said.
