RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi referred to the June 7 terrorist attacks in Tehran and said, “The arrival of these blind-hearted and cowardly people and the execution of this brutal crime is the result of the defeat of the mercenaries of the United States in the Middle East by the Islamic Resistance Front. These mercenaries in Syria and Iraq have faced the iron and steel dam and were defeated and the conspiracies of the US in the region have collapsed and crumbled.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran added that this movement isn’t a sign of their strength but rather it’s a sign of the weakness and passivity of the enemies and terrorists. “The recent phenomenon is similar to the events which occurred during the 1980s in Iran. Whenever the mercenaries felt helpless, such movements entered,” he said.
He stated one of the factors of the growth of the terrorist phenomenon is the existence of the Takfiri ideology and noted, “This movement is considered an incorrect phenomenon which is based that which is taught in Saudi academic institutions and from the Wahhabi ideology the Takfiri movement arose.”
Ayatollah Arafi said that the Takfiri phenomenon has no value because they are support by the American government and added, “A few days ago, someone said in the presence of the Supreme Leader if Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, that the Takfiri phenomenon seek to ignite a war between Sunni and Shi’ah Muslims. He replied, ‘while this is true, you must know that the basis of this terrorist phenomenon is the US’ policies.’”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said that the basis of the ideology of the Takfiri phenomenon is supported by the US and added, “Regarding hardware, these mercenaries are supported just as Saudi Arabia supports the Takfiri ideology. Without this, there wouldn’t be religious dissension in the Islamic world.”
He continued, “The blind-hearted affiliates and supporters of the Takfiri and terrorist phenomena must know that the nation and people of Iran, by following the Supreme Leader, will shield their breasts against all arrows. We will rise above these arrows with all of our might and will never compromise Islam, the Islamic Revolution, Wilayat al-Faqih and the great ideals of Islam and the Revolution.”
Ayatollah Arafi added, “We are followers of the Imam [Khomeyni] who, after the martyrdom of Ayatollah Motahhari, said in the Feyziyeh Seminary, ‘Our nation is more awake. Don’t think that our people and authorities will submit to them. We will not go back. We will never be afraid and will stand against the enemies and their wishes. By the grace of God, we will send them to the grave.’”
The head of al-Mustafa International University said, “The Americans seek to gain the maximum economic benefits from the Middle East. [US President Donald] Trump who seeks the economic interests of his own country came to the region to put pressure on its unsuspecting mercenaries under various pretexts. The US seeks its own economic benefits, the safety of Israel and to create a religious war to advance its goals.”
The Friday prayer leader of Qom said that on the last Friday of Ramadhan, our nation will show though its widespread presence [in the International Day of al-Quds protests] that terrorism in this country will not expand and will show that by relying on its faith, authority, security forces, military and the IRGC, the people will stand against all of the imperialist powers with all of their might. The enemies and mercenaries cannot stand against the power of the nation.”
