RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall on the 22nd of the Iranian month of Bahman, which marks the anniversary of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi said that Iran’s enemies always seek to influence the country’s people and elite but sometimes individuals in society who are greedy and under the influence of the enemies don’t realize what the enemies have done to them.
“The enemies only seek to inflict harm and won’t be satisfied until Muslims disbelieve and in order to do this, they seek to penetrate the Islamic system through sanctions and influence. For this reason, we must be vigilant,” he said.
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah said that it’s more unfortunate when the enemies speak of their plots to influence Iran, including former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and we still find individuals who say that they don’t accept that the enemies seek to infiltrate Iran.
Ayatollah Saidi stated that in his rantings, the new American president, Donald Trump, has said that Iran must be afraid of him and in regard to this, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, retorted, “The people of Iran aren’t afraid of any threat.”
He said the numbers of participants in the rallies held throughout Iran on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution have increased more than 30% from previous years and added that this demonstrates to the Americans that the Iranian people don’t fear the evils of the US.
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said the US is the same disgraceful country that imposed the Capitulation Treaty on Iran during the reign of Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi and took the lives of the Iranian people, both before and after the Revolution.
“This US is the same the US which has never stopped plotting against the Iranian people, targeting the country’s civilian passenger aircraft and has threatened the lives of countless Iranians by imposing sanctions which prohibit the import of certain necessary medicines,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Saidi stressed, “The Iranian people haven’t forgotten the wickedness and the crimes of US and those who are looking to beautify the image of US are also involved in these crimes.”
He stated that today, especially with the positions taken by Trump, have proved for all that the US is the greatest enemy of Islam and their positions, especially those taken after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), have demonstrated the US’ corrupt nature.
“We must renounce the US and the manifestation of this renunciation is the slogan of ‘down with America,’” Hujjat al-Islam Saidi said, adding that ‘down with America’ isn’t based on emotions but rather out of conviction and is also rooted in the Quran.
