RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Mohsen Heydari, the representative of the people of Khuzestan province in the Assembly of Experts, referred to the current unrest in Kashmir, saying that the imperial powers of the world have always sought to divide Muslims and given the current conditions and crises, the imperialists and their agents have sought to pursue this issue seriously.
Large parts of Indian-occupied Kashmir have been under continuous 24-hour curfew since the death on July 8 of pro-independence leader Burhan Wani sparked wide-scale protests and clashes with government forces who have fired and killed 46 civilians so far.
He noted the current crises in Iraq, Bahrain, Syria and Yemen, saying these crises demonstrated the killing of Muslims at the hands of each other and stressed that these measures only benefit the security of the Zionist regime and while Muslims are busy with their conflicts, they forget this fact.
Ayatollah Heydari reiterated that the current conflict in Kashmir is an example of the ongoing series of conflicts in other Islamic countries. “Unfortunately, the Al Saud are the leaders of the Takfiri ideology and in the name of defending the Sunnis, they have taken responsibility for other cases where Shi’as and supporters of the Ahlul-Bayt are met with oppression, abuse and aggression.”
The Friday prayer leader of Ahvaz said that Takfiris do not believe in extents and limits in their killings and added that an example of this is the beheading of a twelve-year old Palestinian boy in front of television cameras “by a bunch of wild and medieval-like men who take the lives of Muslims claiming they are infidels.”
His Eminence pointed out that both Shi’as and Sunnis have been killed in the massacres in Islamic countries, adding that the Sunnis who turned away from cooperating with the Takfiris incurred the Takfiris’ wrath, while Takfirism and bloodshed have no connection with the Holy Quran and Islamic tradition and only serve the agents of the imperialists.
Ayatollah Heydari said that the plots which occur in Kashmir are the same plots which occur in other Islamic countries and called on the Iranian Foreign Ministry to use its diplomatic leverage to convince the opposing parties to solve their political problems through dialogue.
He noted that in regard to Yemen, Syria and Bahrain, the Islamic Republic of Iran is opposed to killing and seeks the peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue.
“We expect the Foreign Ministry to take a stance in this regard and use diplomacy and its international leverage to stop the bloodshed of Muslims wherever possible,” he stressed.
