RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Mahmoud Rajabi referred to the recent statements made by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel against Iran’s missile program, saying: “This position indicates that the imperialistic countries have a problem with the basis of the system of the Islamic Republic.”
Moon and Merkel have both claimed that Iran’s missile tests “are not consistent with the constructive spirit” of last year’s nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), reached between Iran and the P5+1.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom added that whenever all concerns finish and reach a certain stage, the imperial countries create new problems because they disagree with Iran’s Islamic system of government despite the fact that Iran has acted on all of its obligations under the JCPOA.
He added that the other members of the P5+1 group of countries did not take serious steps and every day we witness practical sabotage and even the imposition of new sanctions and limitations.
Hujjat al-Islam Rajabi said that even if the missile issue proceeds based on the demands of the West, they only speak about human rights and other such issues, and added: “The main objective of the enemies is changing and overthrowing our system of government.”
His Eminence continued: “The enemies stand against the principles of Iran’s system and its people because they are opposed to their values and Iran’s nuclear program is not on the path of using nuclear weapons and the enemy also knows this fact. However, despite their planning, the JCPOA attained fruition.”
He said that the excuse of Iran’s missile tests is not the enemies’ last point of contention with Iran and added that in the Holy Quran, God Almighty said that the enemies of Islam will always seek war and whenever one issue is finished, they will raise another to the point that they will separate Muslims from their values and religion, if they can.
The Iranian cleric said the remarks showed the United States’ and imperial powers’ hostility and disloyalty and was proof to even those who have illusions that the problems over Iran’s firmness are finished.
