RNA - He stated that Kushner is trying to distort the positions of the Palestinian leadership supported by all of our people and international institutions and organizations that reject the dictates of this administration, Wafa news agency reported.
Erekat added that Kushner and his ilk who want to impose dictates believe that they can impose Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's apartheid on the Palestinian people forever, stressing the necessity to end the occupation and implement the two-state solution on the 1967 borders, or else face failure.
Kushner, Trump's adviser and son-in-law, attacked Erekat on Saturday night, saying the chief negotiator was personally responsible for failing to reach an agreement with Israel over the last 25 years.
"He says a lot of things that have turned out not to be true," Kushner told Egyptian journalist Amr Adib on MBC Masr's Al Hikaya political program, adding, "The guy has a perfect track record at failing at making peace deals."
Erekat tweeted in response that “Kushner says PM Netanyahu is allowed to annex Jerusalem, settlements, Jordan valley, and the Dead Sea and to have security control West of the Jordan river, control Palestinian airspace, territorial waters, no harbors no airports, and refugees off the table, what is there to negotiate?”
Erekat stressed that concluding agreements and deals is not success, but achieving peace and restoring the rights of our people are the priorities of the Palestinian negotiator, and "we will strive to achieve a Palestinian state with the support of all believers in the justice of our cause, armed with law and international legitimacy".
