Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi issued a statement in the wake of the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Iran.

Ayatollah Arafi issued a statement announcing the readiness of the Islamic Seminaries, the seminarians and the clergy to help officials and the public eradicate the Coronavirus.

The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran convened an extraordinary meeting in response to the spread of the Coronavirus in Iran and the cancellation of courses at various levels in the Islamic Seminaries.

Ayatollah Arafi said, “In the past two months, two people from China have been accepted to al-Mustafa International University and were placed in quarantine and certainly the entry of the Coronavirus has nothing to do with the Chinese seminarians of al-Mustafa International University.”

A teacher in the Islamic Seminary described the month of Rajab as the month of supplication, forgiveness and attention to others and emphasized, “This month, we must pray for defence from tribulations, disasters and for the eradication of diseases.”

A teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said that the Islamic Seminaries and the clergy haven’t been indifferent to their duties towards the Islamic Revolution and said, “A good future lays ahead for the Islamic Seminaries.”

In a statement, the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom appreciated the presence of the Iranian people in the recent elections and emphasized that the elected representatives must serve the people and place solving their problems at the top of their agenda.

Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi, the former chairman of Iran's Assembly of Experts, was reelected as member of the Assembly in its midterm voting on Friday.

The revered source of emulation appreciated the conscious presence of the Iranian people at the ballot boxes and called on those elected by the people to take the first opportunity to solve the problems, especially the living and unemployment problems.

In a statement, The Islamic Ummah World Assembly offered its congratulations on the release of Shaykh Sardar Hacihasanli Babayev, an Azerbaijani Shi’ah cleric, from prison and said supporting the oppressed Shi’ahs of this country is a collective obligation.
