Iran's Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Rayeesi said results of the parliamentary and Experts Assembly elections underway in the country today will play a crucial role in the nation's future policies.

RNA - Rayeesi made the remarks after casting his vote for the 11th parliamentary elections and the mid-term election for the Assembly of Experts at a voting station in Tehran on Friday.

He said that the ongoing elections will play a decisive role in the fate of the Iranian people the same as in the past elections.

Now that the Americans try to disappoint Iranian people, they should indicate their loyalty to the Islamic system through their high turnout in the elections, Rayeesi said.

He hailed the efforts made by all those in charge of holding the elections, urging both the executive officials and the observers to safeguard the votes of the people.

According to Fars News Agency, Rayeesi expressed the hope that a parliament would be formed to concern about the Islamic Revolution and the problems of the people.

Iranians headed to the polls to elect 290 members of Majlis (the parliament) and 7 members of the Assembly of Experts in its midterm elections on Friday morning.
