RNA - Addressing Friday worshippers in Tehran, before the start of the sermons of the weekly rituals, Larijani noted that proposing the “Deal of the Century” has roots in the US’ utilitarianism philosophy.
Meanwhile, he stressed that their plan for Palestine shows the depth of their unlimited hatred towards the Muslims.
“Americans believe in utilitarianism according to which justice, honor, and humanity count as long as they have benefits,” Larijani said.
The parliament speaker also said that for the American statesmen, international obligations do not count much and they violate their international commitments when they do not see any benefits in abiding by them.
He referred to the US withdrawal from several international agreements such as the Paris climate change agreement, the nuclear deal with Iran and the missile treaty with Russia as some irrational decisions made by the American authorities based on their belief in utilitarianism.
Larijani further quoted Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei as saying that US utilitarianism is in decline as it creates 'international anomalies.’ He added the creation of the ISIL terrorist group had roots in the US utilitarianism with the aim of destroying the Islamic nations.
The speaker further called on the Islamic countries to come together and build a stronger strategy against the US strategy for the region.
He also lambasted some Arab countries particularly Saudi Arabia's cooperation with Americans’ plots and their huge purchase of the US arms.
He went on to note the US officials’ talk of readiness for negotiations with Iran, quoting Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks that Americans cannot be trusted and ruled out any possibility of negotiations on defensive power.
At the end, Larijani said that Iran needs to get stronger and its resistance against the US pressures should continue as the only solution.
On Thursday, the Iranian foreign ministry issued a statement, asking all Muslims across the world to unite against the US-sponsored “Deal of Century”.
The Iranian foreign ministry called on Islamic nations to form a united front against the plots hatched by the Israeli regime to sow discord among Muslims and divert attention from the Palestinian cause.
The ministry warned against a US-devised plan to be unveiled on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and a related Washington-led conference in Bahrain in June, saying the plan, if implemented, will be an “eternal loss” for Palestine and a major gain for its occupiers.
“The current circumstances in Palestine and the region require Muslim nations and governments to maintain their unity, solidarity and integrity against the Zionist regime more than ever,” the statement said.
“While exercising maximum vigilance against this common enemy, Muslim countries need to resist the conspiracies (hatched) by the regime and its supporters to create division in the ranks of the Muslim Ummah and make the issue of Palestine — the top priority in the Muslim world — slip into oblivion,” the statement said.
Iran believes that the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the region will not be fulfilled without the restoration of the rights of the innocent Palestinian nation, it said.
This will be achieved, the statement said, through the return of Palestinian refugees to their motherland and holding of a referendum with the participation of all the real residents of this territory.
The ministry further called for a huge turnout in International Quds Day rallies on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement on Wednesday, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said that undoubtedly, this year’s Quds Day will be turned into a huge and glamorous renewal of allegiance to the sublime cause of Palestine, support for the oppressed people of Palestine and condemnation of the occupying, fake and child-killing regime of Israel and its allies.
According to Fars News Agancy, General Baqeri blasted the US-sponsored “Deal of the Century” plan, saying that the International Quds Day rallies will foil all plots against the Palestinians.
He added that the rallies will shatter the illusion of the US in imposing the already-failed “Deal of the Century” and destroying Palestine like its other dreams, including “the Greater Middle East” and “Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates”.
Similar to the past 40 years, the Iranian nation will massively take part in the Quds Day rallies to demonstrate that the cause of Palestine is not destructible and the true promise of God will be fulfilled by ending the Zionist regime and liberation of the occupied lands, General Baqeri underlined.
The International Quds Day is an annual event opposing Israel's occupation of Beitul-Muqaddas. Anti-Zionist rallies and demonstrations are held on the last Friday of Ramadan in Muslim and Arab countries around the world, specially in Iran, as well as a large number of non-Muslim states.
The International Quds Day was started by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in 1979 as a way of expressing solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.
