RNA - The Supreme Court will decide whether Boris Johnson has lied to the Queen over his controversial suspension of the UK Parliament in the run-up to the Brexit deadline. We asked John Ross´s opinion on the 92 year old Queen’s role in the shutdown of Parliament.
The UK, once a beacon of political and diplomatic stability, has descended into chaos since it voted to leave the European Union in 2016 and now is going through its most critical days.
Ross, a British academic, journalist and an economic advisor to Ken Livingstone, and who does not believe in the impartiality of the courts comments: “The Queen does not step in small matters, because if she did then for the first time for 300 years the position of the Monarchy itself would become very controversial.”
