With more and more far fight attacks taking place including the infamous murder of British MP Jo Cox in 2016 by white supremacist Tommy Mair, the new statistics simply highlight what many have known for some time.
Far fight extremism is the fastest growing form of terrorism and reflects a dangerous climate of neo-nationalism and racism in the UK resulting in a lived experience for black and minority communities in which individuals can be attacked in the street simply because of their religion or the color of their skin.
