An opening ceremony marking the beginning of the new academic year has been held with presence of Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani. RNA – An opening ceremony celebrating the beginning of the new academic year of the Islamic Seminaries was held on the morning of September 14th in the presence of Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani and other renowned scholars, including the following Ayatollahs: Mohammad Yazdi, Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri, Alireza Arafi, Sayyed Ahmad Khatami, Mohsen Faqihi, Mohammad-Javad Fazel-Lankarani, Najmoddin Tabasi and Sayyed Hashem Bathaei as well as Hujjat al-Islam Abbas Rafati-Na’ini, the deputy of the Islamic Seminaries, school managers, teachers and scholars and seminarians at Qom’s famous Feyziyeh Seminary.
According to the report, Ayatollah Arafi, head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran, and Hujjat al-Islam Mahdi Rostamnejad, the deputy of education in the Islamic Seminaries of Iran, will address the ceremony.
The special speaker at the ceremony will be Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani, a renowned source of emulation.
Eulogists Abbas Heydarzadeh and Ayatollah Mohammad-Mahdi Mirbaqeri will also be present at the ceremony and the presentation of an audio-visual report will be part of the program.
With the end of the summer holidays and the period of religious propagation during the first ten days of Muharram and the beginning of the new academic year, once again academic success and joy is returning to the atmosphere of the Islamic Seminaries and the seminarians and scholars are preparing themselves for academic endeavours.
It is worth noting that classes in the Islamic Seminaries will began on Sunday, September 15th.
Other programs of the opening ceremony of the 1398-1399 (2019-2020 CE) academic year is the “Remembrance of the Martyrs Exhibition” which will display images of prominent former and contemporary scholars and exhibit some of the major plans and programs of the Centre for the Management of the Islamic Seminaries.
