RNA - The Syrian Army troops, backed by artillery and missile units, engaged in fierce clashes with Tahrir al-Sham terrorists in the town of Sakik in Southern Idlib and took control of the town of Tal Ra’i.
Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.
Idlib
The Syrian Army continued its advances towards the city of Khan Sheikhoun, the main bastion of Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group and took control of a region as government forces dispatched new military convoy to Southern Idlib.
The Syrian Army troops, backed by artillery and missile units, engaged in fierce clashes with Tahrir al-Sham terrorists in the town of Sakik in Southern Idlib and took control of the town of Tal Ra’i.
A military source, meantime, pointed to the Syrian Army advances towards the town of al-Tamaneh in Southern Idlib from Tal Ra’i, and said that the Syrian Army troops attacked defense lines of Tahrir al-Sham in al-Tamaneh.
According to Fars News Agancy, the source noted that al-Tamaneh is the gate to Khan Sheikhoun, and said that other Syrian troops are also advancing towards West of Khan Sheikhoun from al-Hobait.
Meantime, the Syrian Army plans to lay siege on areas under the control of terrorists in Northern Hama from two directions after reaching Khan Sheikhoun.
The Syrian Army has dispatched a massive military convoy comprising tens of trucks carrying military equipment and elite forces to Sakik in Southern Idlib.
Tartous
A Russian ship that is carrying a large supply of heavy military equipment, including tanks and armored personnel carriers, is en route to the Syrian port city of Tartous as the government forces have started massive military operations in Northern Syria.
The English-language Al-Masdar news website quoted maritime naval observer Yoruk Isik as saying that the Russian ship, Ropucha class landing ship Azoz 151, has passed the Bosphorus Strait en route to the Port of Tartous in Western Syria.
It noted that since the Russian vessel is very heavy, it is most probably carrying heavy military equipment such as tanks.
Al-Masdar noted that the latest delivery by the Russian Navy comes at the same time the Syrian Army is advancing through the Southern parts of Idlib province.
Russia has recently increased its weapons supply deliveries to Syria since the start of the military operation; this has proven to be incredibly important for the Syrian military as the loss of military equipment has been quickly replenished by their Russian allies.
