RNA - "The Islamic Republic of Iran has stood behind the gates of Quds since the beginning of (Islamic) Revolution (1979) and will not rest until gaining the result and freedom of Quds," said General Rasoul Sanai-Rad, the deputy head of the commander-in-chief's political and ideological office for political affairs and a former deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), addressing a forum in the Western province of Kermanshah on Sunday.
According to Fars News Agancy, he also said that Iran's power is the result of its Islamic Revolution and the revolutionary spirit of its people, adding that for the same reason the US has been forced to form a military arrangement against Iran but it has no power to confront the country.
In relevant remarks in 2018, Head of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Public Relations Department and IRGC Spokesman General Ramezan Sharif underlined that the US failure in its plots to harm the regional states with the help of the terrorist groups had shattered Israel's safe zone.
"This year, the international Quds day rallies will be held under such conditions that we are witnessing the failure of the plots hatched with the help of the ISIL and other terrorist groups created by the US, the Zionist regime and their regional sponsors and the most important safe zone of the Zionist regime has this year been destroyed due to decreasing tensions in Syria and the Muslim world and the new conditions created to support the Palestinian nation," Sharif, who is also the head of the Intifada and Quds Headquarters, told reporters in Tehran.
He added that all clashes and terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda, the ISIL and al-Nusra Front (also known as the Levant Liberation Board), were the result of the existence of the Zionist regime in the region, saying, "If one day humanity witnesses annihilation of the Zionist regime, tranquility will prevail over the world again."
