RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Gholamreza Mesbahi-Moqaddam, a spokesman for the Combatant Clergy Association, discussed the holding of the sixth seminar and consultative meeting of the Combatant Clergy Association and said that 31 Principalist political parties were present at the meeting and added, “It can be said all of the Principalist parties, with the exception of two or three parties, were present at the meeting and engaged in consultation with each other.”
The member of the Expediency Council continued, “Ayatollah Mohsen Mojtahed-Shabestari headed the meeting on behalf of Ayatollah Ali Movahedi-Kermani. Hujjat al-Islam Mostafa Pourmohammadi, the General Secretary of the Combatant Clergy Association, Hujjat al-Islam Said Mahdavi-Kani and Hujjat al-Islam Abdolhoseyn Moezi from the Central Council of the Combatant Clergy Association were present at the meeting.”
He stated that the main topic of discussion at this meeting was “the Islamic Consultative Assembly elections” and said, “Considering that a coordination council for the Principalists has been formed, the Combatant Clergy Association intends to help this council and the coalition of Principalists to play a major role in reaching maximum agreement and consensus. This meeting discussed how the Combatant Clergy Association can support the Principalist coalition.”
Hujjat al-Islam Mesbahi-Moghadam considered the goal of organizing a series of meetings as in pursuit of maximum agreement and consensus among the Principalists and said, “The Combatant Clergy Association is seeking to strengthen the Principalist dialogue and revolutionary and value forces, and the coalition of Principalists and to direct the revolutionary and value associations toward maximum agreement and consensus.”
