Ta’ziyeh Performed in Iran’s Northern City of Ziabar during Muharram Mourning

Rasa - Ta’ziyeh is an Iranian dramatic genre which might be compared to the Western Passion Play. The ritual drama has Islamic and Persian heritage, the central theme of which is the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), in the Battle of Karbala.
