RNA – The Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Hossein Salami, said Islam is prevailing so rapidly in Europe that it will soon replace Christianity.

“In a report prepared by the European themselves, they have admitted that Europe’s Christian identity is changing to Islam as we see the names most chosen by people are Muslim names such as Ahmad, Ali and Fatimah,” Salami said on Tuesday.

In February 2015, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, condemned certain western states for their political and cultural measures to portray a dark and unreal image of Islam and its believers in their societies.

“The issue, which is seen in the world today, is that (western) powers and governments which claim to (advocate) fairness and justice do not observe any fairness and justice except within the bounds of their narrow, limited and cruel policies,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with representatives of religious minorities in the Iranian Parliament.

The Leader pointed to the propaganda campaign against Muslims in Europe and the US and said, “The matter is not (the question) why the Muslims do not have the necessary freedom in most of these (western) countries, but is (the question) why the Muslims do not have any (sense of) physical safety (there).”

Ayatollah Khamenei cited a Hollywood-made film, American Sniper, as an example and said it encourages Christian or non-Muslim youngsters to harass the Muslims as much as possible.

Islam does not accept this approach, the Leader said, adding, “Islam believes in fairness.”

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that Imam Ali, the first Imam of the Shiites, has said a Muslim would not be blamed if he dies of sadness over the harassment of a non-Muslim in a Muslim country.

If a Muslim dies of this sadness, that person has died for the right cause, the Leader pointed out.

The Leader said young neo-Nazis have on several occasions beaten up and killed Muslims and damaged mosques with impunity.

Ayatollah Khamenei cited the instance of young Arab Muslim girls who have been beaten up or even killed because of their hijab and nobody even bothered to investigate the issue.

The Leader added that similar cases also exist in other countries which claim to defend human rights, including the US.

Ayatollah Khamenei said after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, there is no record of aggression by Muslims against non-Muslims.
