Rasa News Agency reports - Hujjat al-Islam Hashemian, the president of the Islamic Centre of Berlin spoke at a conference of international missionaries held at al-Mustafa International University’s Madrassah Imam Khomeini today. He spoke of the fierce attacks by the enemies of Islam towards Muslims, especially Shi’ites.
“There more than a thousand satellite channels using many languages and modern methods in order to promote propaganda against Islam and Shi’ism. In the past we were confronted with ignorance but now we must be more vigilant in order to counter their plans. The enemy is now at the peak of obstinacy. Their weapons are in front of us,” Hujjat al-Islam Hashemian said.
“The world is attempting to destroy Islam, wilayah (guardianship) and Shi’ism and this makes our duties will be very difficult. We must strengthen ourselves spiritually. We can do this by strengthening our relationship with God and building our faith,” he added.
“A Pakistani poet has said about Imam Husayn (A) that ‘if the people of the world become aware and understanding then we can say that Imam Husayn (A) is aware and understanding of us,’” he mentioned.
Imam Khomeini (RA) said that if we want to export our revolution the world must understand us and when reach this level of understanding they will say that we are the true followers of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S), his pure family and the Holy Imams (A).
“Once in the presence of the Supreme Leader of the |slamic Revolution (Imam Khamenei), I spoke about oppression and ignorance and I noted that the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (AS) was due to oppression and the martyrdom of Imam Sadiq (A) was due to the ignorance of the people, but the Leader said that Imam Hussain (AS) was also martyred due to the ignorance of the people,” Hujjat al-Islam Hashemian noted.
The companions of Aba Abdillah [Imam Husayn] have such a high status that we remember them in the last verse of the Ziyarat Ashura supplication by prostrating (to God) and remembering their sacrifices. This action is specific to the companions of Imam Husayn (A) and this action is not done to any other prophet or Imam.
“The companions of Imam Husayn (A) were chosen and for the same reason they did not leave their Imam. We also have a duty to amend ourselves until we mature and so that our speech can have a positive affect on others,” Hujjat al-Islam Hashemian concluded.
