Iran High Council for Human Rights (IHCHR), issued a statement on Tuesday censuring the recent report of the UN rapporteur of Iran's human rights.

RNA - With regards to the recent report of Special Rapporteur of Iran’s Human Rights Javaid Rehman to the UN Security Council (UNSC), the statement condemned the rapporteur's silence on violation of rights of Iranian people by the United States.

Part of the statement reads, “In the face of many US hostile moves that have violated ‘right to progress’, ‘right to prosperity’, ‘right to peaceful life’, and ‘right to health’ of the Iranian nation, special rapporteur in his recent report has mentioned only a few minor and fully selective cases and, basically, he has ignored the long list of US brutal acts carried out against the Iranian nation in the past year. The special rapporteur has not taken any action to prevent continuation of US blind violence committed against the Iranian nation in practice.”

In this statement, some of US hostile moves taken against Iranian people over the previous year have been enumerated such as, “imposing sanctions against the countries which continue to buy Iran's oil, announcing Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, imposing sanctions on Iranian steel, iron, copper and aluminum industries as well as Persian Gulf Petrochemical Company, imposing new sanctions against Central Bank of Iran and National Development Fund of Iran (NDFI), etc.”

Last month, Head of the Judiciary's High Council for Human Rights Ali Baqeri Kani said that international human rights promoters are required to seek revenge from the US for assassination of the great defender of human rights in West Asia, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

In November, Mousavi said Washington's numerous crimes against humanity and American military forces’ use of arms against civilians show the White House’s “hypocrisy” to accuse Tehran of violating human rights.

According to Fars News Agency, in a tweet, Mousavi refuted US human rights allegations against Iran as "Shameless Hypocrisy", adding that seriously a US "Human Rights fair" would be great!

Shooting passenger flights, discriminating blacks, bombing civilians in endless wars from Vietnam to Iraq, Yemen...let alone full support for the most brutal terrorist inhuman regimes in the region. "Shameless Hypocrisy” at its core! He added.

Referring to the human rights exhibition in Tehran, Spokesperson for the United States Department of State Morgan Ortagus, in a post on her Twitter account, had claimed that Iran is one of the world’s worst human rights abusers.
