Idlib

The command headquarters of the Syrian Army in a statement declared resumption of the military operations in Northern Syria, as it blamed Turkey's lack of commitment to the Sochi Agreement and continued violation of the ceasefire by terrorist groups in Northern Syria.

"The Ankara-backed terrorists violated the ceasefire with the Syrian Army and attacked the residential areas in the safe zone several times in de-escalation regions," the Syrian Army and Armed Forces Command Center said in its statement.

It pointed to continued attacks by terrorists stationed in Idlib upon Turkey's green light and following destructive moves and indifference of Turkey to their commitments to the Sochi agreement on Idlib, the terrorist groups reinforced their military positions in Syria.

The statement reiterated that the Syrian government agreed with ceasefire in Idlib on the condition that Turkey fulfills its commitments under the Sochi agreement, but it was not realized, and the Syrian Army will hence resume its military operations against terrorist groups and will respond to their attacks.
