Iranian President Hassan Rouhani blasted the American officials for undermining and violating the international laws and regulations, and said for the same reason no one in the world approves of their behavior. He underlined that these people who are in power in the US are warmongers and easily trample upon international codes of conduct and rules such as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the Paris (climate) Agreement.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran has recently won three wining cards at international circles, including the verdict issued by Luxemburg court to unfreeze $ 1.7 billion of Iranian assets," the Iranian president added.
President Rouhani also noted the transfer of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (Al-Quds) and the recent declaration made by US President Donald Trump on his recognition of the annexation of occupied Golan Heights to Israel, and reiterated that the US has also violated the international rules in both the Golan Heights and Holy Quds cases.
In relevant remarks on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif strongly blasted US President Donald Trump for his recent decision on Syria's Golan Heights, and warned the Arab and Muslim countries to beware of Washington's new plots.
"Trump’s lawless announcement on 'Occupied Syrian Golan' after last year’s on 'Occupied Al-Quds' is a sobering reminder for our Arab and Muslim brethren: US & Israel will offer you handshakes, but no matter how much you kowtow, they will still steal your lands. Let us unite," Zarif wrote on his Twitter page.
The Iranian foreign minister's remarks came after Trump tweeted on Thursday that after 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel's Sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
On December 6, 2017, Trump decided to relocate the US diplomatic mission from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds and to recognize Quds as the capital city of the Zionist regime of Israel.
